How many times when we are in the midst of change or depressing circumstances do we wonder if we will ever see an end to it?  It makes you want to give up at times, right?  Well, maybe these Here are two thoughts to encourage you to move forward ‘through it all’ while waiting patiently and . . . doing what you need to do in the process (that’s all you can do anyway, right?)

When I’m in a plane on a dark, gloomy, depressing day and we rise above the clouds, I notice how sunny it is and how blue the sky is.  It always reminds me that although we may see nothing but depressing circumstances in the here and now, the breakthrough is not far off…we just have to wait for the clouds to break and know that this pain or setback is only temporary.  The clouds will dissipate and the sun will come out again. This too shall pass. It really will. Keep putting one foot in front of the other!

The other encouraging thought that comes to mind is living like the eagle. It knows long before a storm is approaching  and will fly to a high spot to wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, the eagle sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle soars above it. No, it does not escape the storm and it is putting forth much effort to rise . . . but uses the storm to bring it higher. What is the highest point we can be lifted up to?  It’s to the very throne of heaven. Let God carry you through the storms on His wings until the sun shines through again, as it surely will.
